Piet Klocke is a German musician, cabaret artist, author, and actor born on December 20, 1948, in Essen. He began his career as a guitarist in various funk and soul bands in Amsterdam, before transitioning to acting in the early 1980s at the Städtische Bühnen Essen. He founded the avant-garde music theater ensemble Kamikaze Orkester and developed his signature character, Professor Schmitt-Hindemith, a persona known for absurd monologues and improvisational performances.
