Chaz Salvatore Bono is a trans man and writer born on March 4, 1969, to entertainers Sonny Bono and Cher. As a child, he appeared on their TV show, The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour. Chaz publicly self-identified as a lesbian in 1995, before later coming out as a trans man through his transition process, documented in the 2011 film Becoming Chaz.
