Maya Sansa

Biography

Maya Sansa is an Italian actress born on September 25, 1975, in Rome to Iranian and Italian parents. She studied acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London before making her film debut with Marco Bellocchio in "La balia." Her breakthrough role came when she was named the new face of Italian cinema by The New York Times in 2004. Sansa has since won several awards, including a David di Donatello for Best Supporting Actress for her role in "Dormant Beauty."
