Bobby Beausoleil

Biography

Robert Kenneth Beausoleil was born on November 6, 1947, in Santa Barbara, California, to working-class parents. He became a convicted murderer after killing his friend Gary Hinman in 1969 and was later granted commutation to life imprisonment due to the Supreme Court's ruling invalidating all death sentences issued before 1972. During his incarceration, Beausoleil has pursued music and visual art, releasing recorded works and creating instrument designs.
