Caryn Waechter

Biography

Caryn Waechter is a filmmaker and director known for her 2014 debut film The Sisterhood of Night, which premiered at the Woodstock Film Festival. She initially attended Columbia University to pursue a degree in film criticism before switching majors to earn an MFA in directing, where she met her collaborator Marilyn Fu. Waechter self-funded her project through a Kickstarter campaign and secured distribution for the film with Freestyle Releasing.
