Latham Gaines is a multi-talented American artist and inventor, born on February 3, 1964. As half of the duo GAINES, he creates sound sculptures with his brother Shelby from 'found' materials, earning them a Drama Desk Award nomination for their work in Ethan Hawke's revival of A Lie of the Mind. He has also collaborated with Hawke on several projects, including the film Wildcat and the upcoming 2026 release The Weight.
