Otomar Krejča

Biography

Otomar Krejča was a Czech theatre director, actor, and dissident born on November 23, 1921, in Skrýšov, Czechoslovakia. He directed 84 productions, including over 40 abroad, and became one of the most significant theatre directors in Czech theatre history. Krejča's career spanned notable roles at the National Theatre in Prague and his co-founding of the Za branou Theatre, where he served as artistic director from 1965 to 1968.
