Kristina Romero, born April 18, 1982, in Bethesda, Maryland, began her acting career at age 13 as an amateur reporter for a local Bethesda UPN station, leading to additional roles. She landed the role of Abigail Williams on CBS's As the World Turns in January 1999 and received two Emmy Award nominations in 2001 and 2002. Romero also competed in the Miss Maryland Teen USA pageant before joining the show.
