Biography

Jovan Jovanović was a Serbian director, screenwriter, editor, and film theorist born on May 31, 1940, in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. He graduated from the Belgrade Academy of Theater, Film, Radio and Television with his feature film "Distinctly Me" in 1967, which won top honors at the Young Authors Festival in New York. His documentary "Kolt 15 Gap" (1971) was awarded at several festivals, including Oberhausen and Utrecht. Jovanović passed away on August 3, 2022.
