Gen Shimizu

Biography

Gen Shimizu was a Japanese actor born on January 1, 1907, and died on December 20, 1972. He began his career in the arts at the Tokyo-based Akihabara Theater Company in 1937, later joining the theater group Nohgaku-za. Shimizu's notable film roles include Minister of Defense in "Invasion of Astro-Monster" (1965) and Washizu samurai in "Throne of Blood" (1957). He appeared in over 220 films throughout his career.
