Biography

Eiji Bandō was a Japanese television entertainer and former baseball player, who made a breakout in 1985 with the Tokyo Broadcasting System Television series "To Kinyobi no Tsumatachi". He went on to appear in films like "Buddies", "47 Ronin", and "Poppoya", starring alongside Ken Takakura. Bandō's record of 83 strikeouts in the National High School Baseball Championship remains unbroken. He passed away in 2026 at the age of 86.
