Judy Ongg is a Taiwanese-Japanese actress and singer born on January 24, 1950. She made her film debut in the 1961 Japan-U.S. production The Big Wave and won the Best Actress honor at the ninth Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival. Her 1979 hit "Miserarete" sold two million copies and won the Japan Record Award. Ongg has had a prolific career spanning over four decades, recording for major labels and performing in various film and television projects.
