John Stagliano, also known as Buttman, is a former American pornographic film actor, producer, and director born on November 29, 1951. He founded the adult film studio Evil Angel and made his debut in hardcore pornography at age 23 with a 1974 8mm loop. Stagliano responded to an advertisement for Chippendales dancers in 1979, performing with the group before transitioning into his successful career as a pornographic filmmaker.
