Paule Baillargeon

Biography

Paule Baillargeon is a Canadian actress and film director born on July 19, 1945. She won the Genie Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in I've Heard the Mermaids Singing, and was nominated for Best Director for The Sex of the Stars. With a background in classical education and experimental theatre, Baillargeon co-founded Le Grand Cirque Ordinaire, which influenced Quebec's theatre scene during the 1960s and 1970s.
