Allan Moyle is a Canadian film director and writer born in 1947 in Shawinigan, Quebec. He gained recognition for directing the films Pump Up the Volume (1990) and New Waterford Girl (1999), both of which showcase his ability to craft compelling stories about young people navigating challenging situations. His work also includes Times Square (1980), a film that sparked tension with producer Robert Stigwood, earning him a reputation as a filmmaker who takes risks.
