Cynthia Bond

Biography

Cynthia Bond is a multi-talented artist and writer born on April 24, 1961, in Hempstead, Texas. Her debut novel Ruby spent six weeks at the top of the New York Times Bestseller list, earning her a spot on Oprah's Book Club 2.0. A PEN Rosenthal Fellow for Emerging Writers, Bond has also worked to support at-risk youth through writing workshops and teaching positions at the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
