He gained fame as a cast member of the reality comedy series Jackass and co-host of its spin-off Wildboyz with Steve-O. His work at skateboarding magazine Big Brother led to his inclusion in Jackass, where he became known for physical comedy stunts. Pontius returned to Jackass in 2022 with Jackass Forever, earning a producer credit.
