Peter Andreas Thiel is a German-American billionaire entrepreneur and conservative political activist. As a co-founder of PayPal, Palantir Technologies, and Founders Fund, he is also Facebook's first outside investor. Thiel's early career included stints at Credit Suisse and Stanford University, before he co-founded PayPal in 1998, which was later sold to eBay for $1.5 billion. He now has a net worth of $32 billion.
