Ernest Ashley Dingo AM is an Indigenous Australian actor, television presenter, and comedian born on July 31, 1956, in Western Australia. He rose to fame with Richard Walley as part of the Welcome to Country ceremony in Perth in 1976 and later became a key figure in promoting Indigenous recognition and equal rights through events like the Generation One "Hand Across Australia". Dingo is a designated Australian National Living Treasure.
