Michael Behe

Biography

Michael Joseph Behe, born January 18, 1952, is an American biochemist and advocate of intelligent design. As a professor of biochemistry at Lehigh University and senior fellow of the Discovery Institute's Center for Science and Culture, he has argued for the validity of irreducible complexity. His views were cited in the Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District court case, where intelligent design was ruled non-scientific.
