Ameer Sultan is a renowned Indian filmmaker and actor from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, born on December 5, 1967. He gained recognition as part of the Tamil New Wave movement in the late 1990s to early 2000s, with notable films like Paruthiveeran, which earned widespread acclaim and numerous awards. Ameer made his acting debut in Yogi (2009) before appearing in Vada Chennai (2018), for which he won a Best Supporting Actor Award.
