Biography

Norman Robinson was a South African karateka who, along with Stan Schmidt, introduced Shotokan karate to the country in 1965. He became one of the first Westerners to join the Japan Karate Association's Instructor Class in Tokyo and later established Japan Karate Shotokai South Africa. A judo expert holding a 7th dan, Robinson also acted in martial arts films, including "Kill and Kill Again".
