Biography

Jitka Novákova was a Czech actress and performer known for her early work in film and theatre. She debuted on screen with Studium Ypsilon in the documentary "Carmen nejen podle Bizeta" (1968), later starring alongside her husband, Karl Novák, in Věra Chytilová's film "Ovoce stromů rajských jíme" (1969). Novákova went on to collaborate with prominent filmmakers and join prestigious theatrical companies, including the Prague-based Semafor.
