Paul Velsa

Biography

Paul Velsa was a French stage and film actor born on December 29, 1905, to Maurice and Jeanne Welsa, both of Polish-Jewish origin. He began his career at 17 with a stage performance at the Théâtre des Ternes in 1923, followed by his on-screen debut in the 1931 film "Je serai seule après minuit". He went on to appear in over 30 films between 1928 and 1938. His career was cut short by his arrest and deportation during World War II.
