Biography

Ueli Steck was a Swiss mountaineer known for his solo ascents and speed records, earning him the nickname "Swiss Machine." At 18, he climbed the north face of the Eiger and the Bonatti pillar in the Mont-Blanc massif, while setting speed records on the North Face trilogy. He held multiple world records, including a record time on the Eiger's north face, before his untimely death in Nepal in 2017.
