Erin Karpluk is a Canadian television actress born in Jasper, Alberta, to a high-school principal and railway engineer mother and father of Ukrainian descent. She majored in theatre at the University of Victoria, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2000, before embarking on her acting career in Vancouver. Karpluk gained recognition for her roles in Godiva's and Being Erica, earning a Leo nomination for the former and a Gemini nomination for the latter.
