Rumi Sakakibara

Biography

Rumi Sakakibara is a Japanese actress born on March 5, 1951, in Shibuya, Tokyo. She began her career as a model and actress at a young age, appearing in various films and television shows throughout the 1970s and 1980s, including "Tora-san, the Good Samaritan" (1971) and "男はつらいよ 奮闘篇" (1971). After a decade-long stint in Los Angeles with her husband, a film director, Sakakibara returned to Japan after a near-fatal car accident in 2010.
