He graduated from Dartington College of Arts with a BA in Theatre and later obtained an MA (Hons) in playwriting studies from Birmingham University. Plester's award-winning documentary "Way of the Morris" premiered at SXSW 2011, showcasing his work as both actor and filmmaker, while also exploring traditional English folk music.
