Eru Potaka-Dewes
Biography
Eru Potaka-Dewes was a New Zealand actor and Māori religious leader known for his role as Ariki-mau in Jane Campion's film Rapa Nui (1994). He also established the Alternative Immigration Office (ANZAC) to provide immigration services for indigenous peoples. As an Anglican priest, he taught at several schools and was dean of theology at Maori Anglican Theological College in Rotorua.
