Amara Karan

Biography

Amara Karan is a British actress born on January 1, 1984, to Sri Lankan Tamil parents who had emigrated from Zambia to the UK. She attended Wimbledon High School and later studied at St Catherine's College, Oxford, where she began acting in amateur plays and wrote, directed, and produced her own short film. Karan made her film debut in Wes Anderson's The Darjeeling Limited (2007) and went on to appear in several notable roles.
