Mary Stephen

Biography

Mary Stephen is a Canadian editor and director, originally from Hong Kong, who has worked extensively with Éric Rohmer, with whom she co-signed music for several films under the pseudonym Sébastien Erms. As a director, her notable works include "Tourist" (1981) and "In transit, in transition: poem from South Africa" (1998). She has been decorated with the insignia of Knight in the Order of Arts and Letters (2018).
