Biography

Dominique Michel is a renowned Quebec comedian, actress, singer, and artist born Aimée Sylvestre on September 24, 1932. She achieved widespread success in television with her sitcom Moi et l'autre (1966-1972), and later expanded her audience with notable roles in television programs and films, including Denys Arcand's The Decline of the American Empire and The Barbarian Invasions. Michel received numerous awards for her artistic contributions, including the Governor General's Performing Arts Award and the Officer of the Order of Canada.
