Biography

André Ekyan, a French jazz reedist, led a jazz ensemble at Le Perroquet in Paris in the late 1920s. In the 1930s, he collaborated with notable musicians such as Jack Hylton, Tommy Dorsey, and Django Reinhardt, and appeared in several films, including the 1970 French New Wave classic "Le Cercle rouge," where he played the role of Rico.
