Biography

Gary Kemp was born in Islington, London in October 1959. He formed Spandau Ballet in 1978 and, after a documentary featuring the band aired in March 1980, they signed to Chrysalis Records and achieved massive success with hits like "To Cut a Long Story Short" and "Chant No. 1 (I Don't Need This Pressure On)". After Spandau Ballet disbanded, Kemp pursued an acting career, including roles in films like "The Krays" and "Killing Zoe". In 2009, the band reunited and began touring again.
