Biography

David Jon Gilmour is an English musician and multi-instrumentalist, best known for his work as the guitarist, lead vocalist, and songwriter of Pink Floyd. Appointed CBE in 2005 for his services to music, he has also enjoyed a successful solo career and been involved with various charities throughout his career. A highly acclaimed artist, Gilmour was ranked number 14 by Rolling Stone Magazine in their list of the greatest guitarists of all time.
