Biography

Hans Peter Cloos is a German comedian, director, and screenwriter born in 1949 in Stuttgart, West Germany. He began his career at La Mama in New York before studying at the Otto Falckenberg Schauspielschule in Munich. Cloos co-founded Die Rote Rübe, an influential German theatre group of the 1970s, which also featured performances in France and a 1979 production of Bertolt Brecht's "Die Dreigroschen Oper" that won critical acclaim.
