Biography

Michael Jeremy Thomas Clyde was born in Buckinghamshire to Lady Elizabeth Wellesley and her husband Thomas Clyde, making him the great-great-great-grandson of Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington. Educated at Ludgrove School and Eton College, he later studied acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama. As a member of the folk duo Chad & Jeremy in the 1960s, they achieved success in America with hits like "Yesterday's Gone".
