Mike Mendez
Biography
A native Los Angelesan since age 10, Mike Mendez debuted as a filmmaker at 23 with "Killers," accepted into the Sundance Film Festival in 1997 and distributed by Alpine Pictures. He followed up with the horror comedy "The Convent" (2000), also accepting Sundance, and received praise for his ghost story "The Gravedancers" (2006). Mendez also produced the documentary "Masters of Horror" (2002) and starred in "Big Ass Spider!" (2013), premiering at SXSW.
