Walter Aldro Day Jr. was born on May 14, 1949, in Oakland, California. He founded Twin Galaxies, a video game record organization, after selling commemorative newspapers and later becoming an oil futures trader. In 1981, he purchased the Twin Galaxies arcade and established the first online platform for competitive video game playing, which later gained recognition from Guinness World Records.
