Leroy Wallace

Biography

Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace is a Jamaican drummer born on August 22, 1950. He studied under Lennie Hibbert at the Alpha Boys School in the 1960s and early 1970s, where he honed his craft. Wallace has worked with numerous reggae artists and invented the 'Rockers' rhythm, which he showcased in his starring role in the 1978 film Rockers. He also recorded as a DJ on tracks like "Herb Vendor" under pseudonyms Mad Roy and more.
