Leona Anderson was a pioneering American actress born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 3, 1885. She achieved brief stardom in the silent film era, starring opposite Stan Laurel in the comedy "Mud and Sand" in 1922. After a career hiatus, Anderson revived her fame in the 1950s as a vocalist, recording a single titled "Fish" for a small New York City record label, earning notoriety for being dubbed "the world's most horrible singer".
