Esther Minciotti

Biography

Esther Minciotti was an Italian actress born on May 20, 1888, in Turin, Italy. She made her mark in American cinema with notable roles in "Marty" (1955) as Ernest Borgnine's mother and "The Wrong Man" (1956) as Henry Fonda's mother, opposite Alfred Hitchcock's direction. A Broadway veteran, Minciotti also appeared in several plays alongside her husband Silvio Minciotti, an actor of Italian origin.
