Biography

Kiyoshiro Imawano was a renowned Japanese rock musician, lyricist, and actor who was dubbed "Japan's King of Rock." He was the lead vocalist and co-founder of the influential rock band RC Succession, which debuted on the music scene in 1970. A prolific songwriter, he wrote anti-nuclear songs following the Chernobyl disaster in 1986 and was known for incorporating linguistic characteristics of the Japanese language into his music.
