Jean Dixon

Biography

Jean Dixon was born on July 14, 1893, in Waterbury, Connecticut, and studied dramatics under Sarah Bernhardt in France. She made her Broadway debut in 1926 and went on to appear in several notable films, including My Man Godfrey (1936) as the streetwise Molly, alongside Katharine Hepburn. Dixon's style of "brittle comedy" was showcased in plays like June Moon (1929) and Once in a Lifetime (1930).
