Biography

Samuel "Eddie" Hodges is an American former child actor and recording artist born on March 5, 1947, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He made his professional acting debut at ten in Meredith Willson's Broadway musical The Music Man, and later appeared in films such as A Hole in the Head and Summer Magic. As a teenager, he achieved international success with a cover of the Isley Brothers' single "I'm Gonna Knock on Your Door", which reached number 1 in several countries.
