Hazel Brooks

Biography

Hazel Brooks was a model and actress born in Cape Town, South Africa, on September 8, 1924. At 16, she began modeling and caught the attention of a talent scout, leading to a supporting role in John Garfield's 1947 film Body and Soul. She also posed for photographer Durward Garyhill, whose image was voted "Most Provocative Still of 1947" by the International Society of Photographic Arts.
