She is best known for her starring roles as Michonne in The Walking Dead and Okoye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Black Panther and Wakanda Forever. As a writer, she won an Obie Award for her play Eclipsed, which was nominated for six Tony Awards, including Best Play.
