Biography

Salvador del Solar is a Peruvian actor, director, and lawyer born in Lima in 1970. He rose to international fame starring in the acclaimed film Pantaleón y las visitadoras (1999) before expanding his career as a filmmaker with the critically acclaimed Magallanes (2015). Del Solar has also ventured into politics, serving as Minister of Culture (2017) and Prime Minister of Peru from March to September 2019.
