Biography

Dick Wilson was a British-American actor born on July 30, 1916, in Preston, Lancashire, who began his career as a comedic acrobatic dancer in vaudeville for 20 years. Before transitioning to acting, he worked as a bush pilot and later became a bomber pilot, serving in both the Royal Canadian Air Force and Royal Air Force during World War II. He made numerous appearances on television shows, including Bewitched, and is best known for his portrayal of Mr. George Whipple in over 500 Charmin commercials.
