Biography

Luis Contreras was a versatile character actor, known for his distinctive appearance and memorable roles. He made his film debut in Steven Spielberg's "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" as a Federale, and went on to appear in numerous films directed by Walter Hill, including "The Long Riders," "48 HRS.," and "Red Heat." With a career spanning multiple decades, Contreras left a lasting mark on the film industry before his passing at 53 due to cancer in 2004.
